Psychological Thrillers


I recently stumbled upon this description:

…a particular kind of irony where the very macabre and the very mundane combine in such a way as to reveal the former’s containment in the latter.

I wanted very much for this to be a description of this series of work, character-driven pieces which I began producing in the late 1990s and which I am labeling here “Psychological Thrillers.”   Unfortunately, the quote – by the late David Foster Wallace – was a description of the films of director David Lynch.  Nonetheless, my quest to reveal a strange kind of beauty and delight that resides in the ugly and ordinary goes on…
